Which Ingredients are classified as Paraben?Ī product will be paraben-free if it does not contain any of the following parabens: If not, don't worry about it - they do have had one of the longest safety records as preservatives! If you are concerned about the health safety of parabens, then feel free to avoid them by looking out for the Paraben-Free icon. There's still a lot of support for avoiding parabens following the better safe than sorry route. However, the majority of the scientific community have deemed these findings non-conclusive due to the limitations of these studies. There has been some healthy controversy surrounding them due to a few studies finding paraben presence in breast tumours and breast tissue. Oil - Sunday Riley Luna, CEO Oil, Herbivore’s Lapis.Parabens are a large group of preservatives which are used to prevent bacteria growing in cosmetic formulations. Retinoids/Retinols - Dermatica’s Prescription Tretinoin, Medik8 Crystal Retinal 6 (though start off with a milder one than either of these) SPF super important if using these (and Vit C).Īcids - Sunday Riley Good Genes, Dr Dennis Gross Pads, Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 (can only get with consultation which sucks if not near London), REN Ready Steady Glow Targeted Serum: I like to alternate between an acid and a retinoid. Then follow it up with any of the cleansers above. SPF: Ultrasun Face SPF50, Biore UV Essence (pink bottle), Kiehl’s SPF50ĭoubleCleanse: Farmacy’s Green Clean. It takes a lot for me to fall in love with a moisturiser but these 2 are incredible. Moisturisers I love: Sunday Riley’s Tidal, Kiehl’s Ultra Daily Facial. Vitamin C I love: Timeless, Medik8’s Super C30, Sunday Riley’s CEO, Skinceuticals (but she’s pricey) My skincare routines look something likeĬleanse / Vitamin C Serum / Moisturise / SPFĭouble Cleanse / Targeted Serum / Moisturise / OilĬleansers I love: Skin Regimen, Glossier, Kiehl’s Ultra Daily, BeautyPie’s Japanfusion, Fresh’s Soy I’ve tried most of Drunk Elephant’s line (not once, each product for 2-3 weeks) and. If you get it you get it, if you know you know and if you don't know like I honestly feel bad for you like I can't explain I don't have the vocabulary to sit here and explain it either you get the vibe or you don't get the vibe I'll keep you posted on how they turn out. The green cleanser people love isn't wow-ing me yet sadly, but the oil is the first oil I've tried that I didn't hate, and the moisturizers feel fantastic. Some other stuff too, but these are the main vibe.īUT, my latest purchase is the Youth To The People minis kit, and it's off to a good start. I fucking hate the sunscreen I have and am waiting on getting a raved about Korean one for the summer lol. I might swap it out for one of the First Aid Beauty ones people love when I'm out. Lala Retro is heavy as fuck, but when I feel really dry it's a nice pick me up. The CeraVe one will probably always stay in my routine because it's cheap, effective and I can apply it in mass quantities and it just absorbs in nicely every time and does what it says. Moisturizers: CeraVe PM Moisturizer, Drunk Elephant Lala Retro The Solution is my least fave - wanna try the Paula's Choice BHA or Lotion P50 when I run out. TO one will probably stay staples in my routine. Serums: The Ordinary Niacinamide 10%, Zinc 1%, The Ordinary Hylaronic Acid 2% + B5, Glossier The SoultionĪlternate between all of these and like them all. Haven't found my holy grail cleanser yet. They work and feel purifying, but they're both a little bit stripping and I think I over-apply every other step of my routine to make up for it. I like both of these, but it's the step of my routine I'm least happy with. Then I dipped my toes into The Ordinary, CeraVe, Glossier, Inkey List - you know, the gherls.Ĭleanser: Simple Foaming Cleanser/Drunk Elephant Beste No9 Cleanser There's a lot of good products from the brand, but yeah they are so damn over priced. I think my first foray into more serious/cult skincare products was about a year and a half ago when I picked up the Drunk Elephant minis set (boujee) and went from there. My main quarantine activity beside Animal Crossing and uppers has been watching Skincare Youtube videos. (Ok mods I know there's another kind of thread like this but the title sucks and I deserve to be the OP ok ok let me live)
